Friends

Hey everybody,

Today I'll be talking about the people that kick you when your down...then chuckle and then pick you up saying "just kidding."  The people that you go to when you need something, and the people that will be there for you even when you are afraid to ask for help.  Yes I am talking about friends.

Friends are wonderful to have.  You hang out with them, you party with them, and you can be yourself around them.  The fact that your friends allow you to be yourself is the best thing about friends in my opinion.  When you actually think about it, most people are not who they really are in front of people because they want to fit in or something like that, but your friends are already your friends so you are open with them and you know they will be there no matter how weird you are in front of them.

Like I said above friends also pick you up when you're down.  For a while I had forgotten the need for friendship with my busy life, but I realized that I wasn't the same person that I used to be.  I wasn't happy... I thought because I had not talked to my friends in so long that I would not have them anymore and I was sad and afraid because I did not know if they would be there like they used to be.  So I called them up one day and apologized for not being there like a good friend should, and the first thing they did was getting everyone together and we hung out like old times.

Friends are amazing people, so don't let yours go like I did.  I got lucky, don't leave your friends up to chance, they are worth more than that.

  1. Friends are awesome. As you said most of the times they are there for you. I am lucky to have some very good friends that even from the distance are still there for me. My best friend and I have been friends since we were 7 years old and even though she is far away we still keep in touch and tell each other everything.
Finding good friends is kind of hard though, you meet people every day, but finding that person that you can tell everything and that basically knows what you are thinking is not so easy, but once you find that person it is awesome to have always someone to count on.

  2. It's really funny how like you said if you are truly friends with people you can reconnect with them no matter how much time has passed. I think its pretty bizzare but also very cool that with true friends you can not have spoken for months, and then hang out with them and it feels like nothing has changed and no time has gone by. I'm from northern California so I've been able to see who my true friends really are by seeing how it is when I finally get to see them again on breaks. I know who my best friends are because it literally feels like its been hours since I've last hung out with them, not months. I guess I am trying to say I agree that true friends are one of the most important things in life.

  3. Wow! I know how you feel. After graduation, I moved from Whittier, LA to Fountain Valley, OC, and from the day I moved, I have not seen my friends until just last week. SO it been like almost a year that I havent hung out with any of my old friends. Last week, my friends called me up because they wanted to come down to FV to visit me and it was like old times. We hung out and talk and catch up and it was fun. SO i know exactly how you feel. I agree when you say we should never leave our friends because they are worth more than that!!

  4. I know exactly what you mean. Most of my friends go to different schools so I only see them once every 2 months or so. When I’m around my friends I always feel happier. Most of my friends know me better than my own family because they are like my family. My Birthday just passed on Friday and I was so happy that friends I have not talked to since high school graduation called to wish me happy birthday. Now that I’m in college I miss beginning able to see my friends almost every day but I try and keep in touch when I can.
